Lynda Dorman, 67, of Warsaw, Indiana passed away at 11:20 p.m. Saturday, July 5, in St. Joseph Specialty Select Hospital, Fort Wayne.
On February 18, 1947, she was born in Johnson County, Kentucky to James and Geneva (Blevins) Salyer. She moved to Warsaw from Chicago, Ill. in 1971.
Lynda worked as a supervisor in upholstery for Haimbaugh for twenty years and then worked from General Electric until the plant closed. She loved to fish, do crafts and spend time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her son: Jim (and spouse Laurie) Dorman, Warsaw; her grandchildren, Nick and Ethan Dorman, Warsaw; her companion, Dave Cook, Leesburg; two sisters, Sue Banaszak, Somerset, Ky. and Debora Harmon, Warsaw, and her brother, James (and spouse Mary) Salyer, Burnside, Ky. Lynda was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Brenda Creamer and her brother, Stanley Salyer.
A Celebration of Life will be from 4–6 p.m. Thursday, July 10, 2014 at Warsaw Community Grace Brethren Church, 909 South Buffalo Street, Warsaw. Burial will be at a later date.
