Praised by the BBC as “the greatest living exponent of the electric violin,” Tracy Silverman’s groundbreaking work with the 6-string electric violin defies musical boundaries. Tracy is joined by Grammy and Emmy-nominated virtuoso pianist Philip Aaberg, who has toured the world playing his powerful and influential Western Americana/Jazz/New Music/Roots compositions.

Pioneering multi-styled cellist Mike Block rounds out the trio; Mike has been touring with Yo-Yo Ma’s Silk Road Ensemble, and has been hailed by Yo-Yo Ma as the “ideal musician of the 21st Century.” Together, these three redefine contemporary chamber music with pop, jazz and world influences, paradoxically accenting the beauty, elegance and soulfulness of traditional masterworks.

This impressive trio will be performing at Emens Auditorium at Ball State University on Thurs., Feb. 27, starting at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $17 in advance and $22 in advance. Special rates are available for BSU students, subscribers and large groups.
