Edmund Bouton Wright, 92, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 2:45 p.m. Monday, July 7, 2014, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.
On Sept. 4, 1921, he was born in Elyria, Ohio, to Edman Wait and Aileen (Studer) Wright.He was united in marriage to Ruth Ann Reynolds on Aug. 23, 1952, in Ohio. She preceded him in death in 1995.
Edmund lived in various states including Ohio, South Carolina, Virginia and Illinois. He moved to Warsaw three years ago.
He studied at Oberlin College, Ohio and Baldwin – Wallace College, Ohio, receiving his master’s degree. He became an organ professor teaching in several colleges, including Bob Jones University in South Carolina, Hollins College in Virginia and Wheaton College in Illinois. He also was a church organist for various churches and a member of American Guild of Organists. He served our country honorably in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Edmund is survived by two sons: Norm Wright, Warsaw; and Ron Wright, Loveland, Colo.; his daughter: Lois Wright Mitchell, Lowell, Mass.; 10 grandchildren: Airan, Nathan, Jake, Ginnie, Laurel, Donald, Alex, Jon, Derrick and Forrest; several grandchildren; his sister: Ruth Wright Wing, Lake Clarke Shores, Fla.; and two nieces.
There are no services or visitation planned. Burial will be at a later date.
