Michael K. HooleyMichael K. Hooley, 59, of Topeka, passed away on June 27, 2014, at home. He was born on Feb. 6, 1955, in LaGrange, to Francis and Vera (Troyer) Hooley. He married Rhonda Arthur.

Michael graduated from West Noble High School. He honorably served his country in the United States Navy. He was employed with Starcraft Bus in Goshen for almost 30 years. He was an avid NASCAR fan. There was no bigger Dale Earnhardt, Jr. fan.

He is survived by his daughter, Vanessa Hooley, and her mother, Rhonda, of Jackson, Ohio.  He is survived by two granddaughters, Trinity and Paisley Hooley.  Also surviving are: two brothers, Sanford (Charlene) Hooley, of Ligonier and Donald (Barrie) Hooley of Syracuse; and a sister, Sharon (Glenn) Herschberger of Topeka.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Vera Hooley and a step-son, Chase Arthur.

A time of visitation with the family will be from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday June 30, 2014 at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier, IN 46767. A funeral service in his honor will be at 6 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Celebrant Larry Baker will officiate. Private family burial will take place on Tuesday at Shore Cemetery.
