Robert “Bob” O. Rosbrugh of Warsaw, Indiana passed away at his residence at 4:14 p.m. on Friday, June 20, 2014 at the age of 70.
He was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, Indiana where he was a 1962 graduate of Pierceton High School. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict from 1966 until his honorable discharge in 1967. Bob had worked at R.R. Donnelley, Hand Industries, and then he worked for Zimmer, Inc. of Warsaw from 1971 until his retirement in 1993 as the manager of the Polymer & Packaging Departments.
After retirement, he was the owner of Mr. R’s Café in Warsaw for 6 years. He had many interests, the most important was his family…especially his grandson Lucas. He enjoyed fishing, camping in his motorhome, his Harley Trike, and he really loved sports…most of all basketball. Bob always looked forward to having coffee with his good friend Steve Biller. He was a life member of the V.F.W. Post #1126, past member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary and a member of Winona Lake Free Methodist Church.
He was born on July 8, 1943 in Warsaw, Indiana to Wilbur Frederick Rosbrugh and Viola Mae (Slusher) Rosbrugh. On September 18, 1965 in Winona Lake, Indiana he was married to Carolyn Sue (Clouse) Rosbrugh, who survives in Warsaw.
He also leaves behind two sons: Matthew J. Rosbrugh (Fort Wayne, Indiana); Marcus J. (wife Sunny) Rosbrugh (Ft. Myers, Florida); one grandson: Lucas Robert Rosbrugh (Fort Wayne, Indiana); one brother: Richard (wife JoAnn) Rosbrugh (Claypool, Indiana); and his sister: Virginia Shultz (Warsaw, Indiana). He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, Indiana.
A graveside service.will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at Oakwood Cemetery of Warsaw and officiated by Ron Redpath with full military honors conducted by the Indiana ARNG Honor Guard, the American Legion Post #49 and the V.F.W. #1126 both of Warsaw.
Those attending the graveside service please meet at the funeral home to leave in procession to the cemetery at 9:50 a.m.
