Victoriano Avila-Negrete, 70, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 10:35 p.m. Sunday, June 15, 2014, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Ind.

He was born March 6, 1944, in Lagos de Moreno, Mexico, to Jose Avila-Gonzalez and Guadalupe Negrete-Torres. On March 26, 1979, he married Juana Gonzalez de Avila in Lagos de Moreno, Jalisco, Mexico.

A resident of Warsaw since 2011, he moved from Mexico to Chicago, Ill., in 1979. He worked in the shipping department at Medcast for a year.

He is survived by his wife: Juana Gonzalez de Avila, Warsaw; and other family members; Maria Rios and family, Claudia Gonzalez and family, Maria Gonzalez and family, Francisco Rios and family, Armando Rios and family, Obdulia Gonzalez and family, Asencion Gonzalez and family, Miguel Gonzalez and Guadalupe Salas and family, all of Warsaw.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation is from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, June 21, at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw. Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. Saturday in Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, Warsaw, with Father Constantino Rocha. Burial will be in Pantiondel Pueblo de Moya, Lagos de Moreno, Jalisco, Mexico.
