Anna Marie Hughes, 79 of Winona Lake, Ind., passed away at 3:13 p.m. Feb. 7, 2014, in St. Joseph Hospital – Select, Fort Wayne, Ind.
On Oct. 15, 1934, she was born in Lancer, Ky., to Henry and Lizzie (Hurd) DeRosett. She was united in marriage to Malcom Hughes on July 1, 1961, in Clintwood, Va.
Anna was raised in the Lancer, area until moving to Warsaw, Ind. She retired from Jomac Inc., after 26 years of service. She was an avid reader and enjoyed working crossword puzzles.
Anna is survived by her husband; her daughter: Mary (Brian) Sager, Winona Lake; four grandchildren: Hugh Freeman, Bloomington, Ind.; Hunter Freeman, Winona Lake; Jason Sager, Winona Lake; and Kaitlin Sager, Wabash, Ind.; and one brother: Lowell (Cheryl) DeRosett.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother; and one sister.
Visitation hours will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12, at the funeral chapel. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 13, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Pastor Glen Hughes officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
