NAPPANEE – NorthWood High School paid tribute to girls basketball standout Morgan Olson recently.
The school saluted Olson as the girls’ program’s all-time leading scorer with a presentation at halftime of the Warsaw at NorthWood boys basketball game on Jan. 31.
Olson, earlier this season, surpassed former Black Swish star Natalie Will as the all-time leader in points. Will, who helped lead NorthWood to the Class 3-A state title in 1999, finished her prep career with 1,294 points before going on to play at Northwestern University.
Olson, a 5-11 forward, now has 1,552 career points. She is also the top rebounder in program history with more than 800 caroms in her prolific career.
Olson, who has committed to play at Youngstown State University, is the leading scorer and rebounder this season for the Panthers, who are 15-5.
