image003World Compassion Network will host the sixth annual World Compassion Network Run/Walk for Hunger 5K at 10 a.m. Saturday, March, 29, in Winona Lake.

The race has grown to be one of the largest 5Ks in the area, with consistent numbers of 500-700 participants each year.  It is a great way to promote hunger/poverty awareness in our area as well as promoting healthy life styles.

All proceeds raised from the event will go to benefit local charities and events. Over the past 5 years, World Compassion Network has raised over $40,000 to help support these organizations that fight poverty in the Kosciusko County area.

World Compassion Network is currently seeking both participants and sponsors for the event. All pre-registered participants will receive an race T-shirt on race day. Cost to pre-register for the race is $15 and $20 for those who register after March 15. Race registration will be held from 8:15 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. the day of the race at the Winona Lake Senior Services Center located at 1590 Park Ave., Winona lake.
