Leeka, CharlesCharles F. Leeka, 65, of North Manchester, Ind., passed away at 6:10 a.m. Sunday, June 1, 2014, in Peabody Healthcare Center, North Manchester.  

He was born Aug. 29, 1948, in Wabash, Ind., to William A. and Mary (Rhoades) Leeka.

He served in the U.S. Army 1968-1972. On July 21, 1984, he married Markeeta Fleming. Charles was employed with Laketon Refinery, Laketon, Ind., from 1972 to 1994; with McDonald’s, North Manchester, from 1994 to 2001 and North Manchester Foundry (Manchester Metals), from 2001 to 2004.

He was a member of Congregational Christian Church, North Manchester, American Legion Post #286 and Manchester Moose Family Center.

He is survived by his wife: Markeeta Leeka, Laketon, Ind.; four sons: Paul A. Leeka, Laketon; John F. (Danielle) Leeka, Warsaw, Ind.; Brian (Angie) Ball, Fort Wayne, Ind.; and Aron M. Ball, Laketon; one sister: Betty Jane Fish, Huntington, Ind.; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 7, at McKee Mortuary, 1401 SR 114 W., North Manchester. Services will follow at 1 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home. Pastor J. P. Freeman will officiate.
