Triton Planning Recognition Nights [UPDATED]

Triton SchoolsBOURBON – Triton High School has set several nights of recognition to serve notice to success amongst its athletic department. The upcoming dates will take place at the following Triton basketball games:

Friday, January 31st – Boys JV/Varsity vs Jimtown 6:00 p.m. JV start
Triton will be celebrating 50 years of Triton boys basketball. Immediately following the JV game, Triton will recognize current boys basketball coach Jason Groves, and former coaches Kevin O’Rourke (1995-1998) and Harry Frick (1980-1982). Triton is also inviting any former boys basketball player to come down to the floor to be recognized (as a group) with the coaches. Also being recognized will be this year’s boys basketball teams in 5th-9th grade. This will take place at halftime of the varsity game.

Saturday, February 1st – Boys JV/Varsity vs Mishawaka Marian 6:00 p.m. JV start
Triton honor boys/girls golf coach Jack Carpenter and his 2013 boys golf state finals team immediately following the JV game. Coach Carpenter won the boys golf state Coach of the Year award, along with the National Federation of High School Sports National Sectional Coach of the Year (includes Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Iowa, and Wisconsin). Triton will also recognize 2013 All-State golf team members Ryan Rapp and Quentyn Carpenter.

Friday, February 7th – Girls JV/Varsity vs LaVille 6:00 p.m. JV start
Triton will honor girls basketball seniors immediately following the JV game. The 5th-8th grade girls basketball players will be recognized at halftime of the LaVille varsity game.

Saturday, February 8th – Boys JV/Varsity vs LaVille 6:00 p.m. JV start
Triton will celebrate its 2014 Homecoming immediately following the JV game and will continue its 50th anniversary celebration by honoring former Triton boys basketball coaches Troy Albert (1993-1995), Doug Snyder (1985-1992) and Creighton Burns (1968-1971). Former Triton boys basketball players are asked to come down to the floor to be recognized (as a group) with these coaches. This recognition will take place at half-time of the varsity game.
