Thelma M. Clark, 86, of Nappanee, Ind., passed away at 5:30 p.m., Sunday, June 1, 2014, at her residence after a short illness.

She was born April 28, 1928, in Westville, Ind., to Walter and Gladys (Kresel) Bruemmer. Thelma was married to James J. Clark, June 28, 1946, in Westville. He preceded in her in death.

Mrs. Clark moved to Nappanee in 1997. She was an excellent seamstress and had made all of her granddaughters’ wedding dresses.

She is survived by her daughter: Beverly (Dennis) Luther, Nappanee; granddaughters: Rhonda (Roger) Bell, Tamara (Richard) Peterson, Diane Luther (Fiancee –Aaron McDaniel), all of Nappanee; Deborah (William) Bonner, Crumstown, Ind.; eight grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; sister: Ruth Clark, Valparaiso, Ind.; and nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 5, at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee. Cremation will take place and inurnment will be in Pin Hook Cemetery at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be given to Elkhart County Humane Society or the American Heart Association.
