Donna BlackfordDonna B. Blackford, 84, of Tippecanoe, Ind., passed away at 3:40 p.m. Sunday, June 1, 2014, in her daughter’s home at Rolling Prairie, Ind.

Donna was born the daughter of Clarence and Bertha (Metzler) Stouder on Jan. 15, 1930, and was a resident of the Etna Green, Ind., and Tippecanoe area all her life. On Sept. 23, 1948, she married William H. Blackford; he died Dec. 31, 1999.

She was a graduate of Etna Green High School and was a homemaker. She was a faithful member of the Tippecanoe Community Church. Over the years she was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Tippecanoe Fire Department.

She is survived by her five children: Colleen and Barry Halter, Rolling Prairie, Ind.; Joe and Pam Blackford, Hebron, Ind.; Steve and Kathy Blackford and Ken and Tina Blackford, all of Tippecanoe, Ind.; and Pastor Bill and Lisa Blackford Jr., Bowie, Md.; 18 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a sister: Gloria (Bill) Stackhouse, Charlottesville, Va.; and brothers: James (Serita) Stouder, Warsaw; Dallas (Mary) Stouder, Tippecanoe; and Richard (Janet) Stouder, Etna Green, Ind.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Bill; a daughter: Kathy Stults; a grandson: Greg Stults; a sister: Marion; and five brothers: Robert, Leonard, Glenn, Velorus and Cecil.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 4, in the Tippecanoe Community Church, Tippecanoe. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Church of Christ with Pastor Douglas Fritzel officiating. Burial will follow in the Tippecanoe Cemetery.
