Lynne M. Severns, 60, of Akron, Ind., passed away at 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 26, 2014, at her residence

She was born Feb. 22, 1954, in South Bend, Ind., to Howard A. and Grace A. (Ammons) Scanlon. On Oct. 18, 1980, in Rochester, Ind., she was married to Roger D. Severns. He survives.

Lynne was a nurse at the Logansport State Hospital. She was a graduate of LaSalle High School as well as Ivy Tech and Ancilla College.

She is survived by her husband; a son: Shawn (Brandi) Severns, Indianapolis, Ind.; granddaughter: Ava Severns; sister: Marcia Elsbury, Mishawaka, Ind.

She was preceded in death by her parents. 

Following her wishes, no services will be held. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hartzler Funeral Home, 305 W. Rochester St., Akron.
