Rebecca Stoelting MidletonRebecca L. Middleton, 65, of Goshen, Ind., passed away Sunday, May 25, 2014, at Woodland Manor Nursing Home, Elkhart, Ind., where she had been residing for two years. 

She was born May 21, 1949, in Marion, Ind., to Dr. Karl W. and Anna Louise (Canten) Stoelting. She grew up in Syracuse, Ind., and graduated from Syracuse High School in 1967.

On Sept. 21, 1979, she married Ron “Duffy” Middleton at First United Methodist Church, Elkhart. He survives.

A graduate of IUSB, Rebecca worked for REAL Services in Warsaw, Ind., and then in Elkhart. 

She is survived by her husband: Ron “Duffy” Middleton; two daughters: Rachel Miller and Lori Geil, both of Goshen; a son: Rob Geil, Goshen; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister: Jane Grimes; and a brother: Bill Stoelting.

In accordance with Rebecca’s wishes, cremation has taken place at Yoder-Culp Crematory. Friends may call from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday, May 29, at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, Goshen. The service will follow at 1 p.m. in the church with Pastor Dick Rinearson officiating.
