Hoffman Paces Valley Victory

logo2AKRON – Cara Hoffman led the way Wednesday night to victory for the Tippecanoe Valley girls basketball team.

Senior Hoffman poured in a game-high 20 points to lead the hosts past West Noble 55-39.

Valley led just 38-33 after three quarters before outscoring the Chargers 17-6 in the final period of play.

Freshman Anne Secrest had 14 points and 10 rebounds for Valley, which improved to 8-6. Kelsey Ball had six points and 12 rebounds and Meredith Brouyette six points for the winners.

Paige Shearer netted 16 points and Becca Schermerhorn 10 for West Noble, which drops to 11-6.

Valley hosts conference foe Southwood Saturday night. West Noble was scheduled to play at Concord tonight, but that game was postponed due to the cold. The Chargers will host East Noble Tuesday.
