Jonathan R. Horne, 51, of Raleigh, N.C., and formerly of Winona Lake, Ind., passed away at 5 p.m. Monday, May 26, 2014, at his home.

He was born April 24, 1963, Los Angeles, Calif., to Robert M. and Betty Joy (Rankin) Horne. He graduated in 1981 from Lakeland Christian Academy, Winona Lake.

Jonathan worked as an air conditioning tech for Precision Air in Florida and also a hazmat technician. He loved the outside, especially hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his parents: Robert and Betty Horne, Winona Lake; a brother:  Mark (Wendy) Horne, Lake Worth, Fla.; a niece: Megan Horne, Lake Worth, Fla.; a nephew: Adam Horne, Lake Worth, Fla.; two uncles and aunts: Gerald and Theresia Rankin, Colorado Springs, Colo.; and David and Saundra Rankin, La Vergne, Tenn.; and eight cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

No visitation or services are planned. Burial will take place at a later date.
