AKRON – The Tippecanoe Valley Middle School boys basketball teams split versus Milford Tuesday night.

Jake Gearhart had 14 points and six rebounds as the Valley 7th grade team topped Milford 30-17.

Wes Melanson had 10 points and Alex Morrison four rebounds for Valley, which improved to 8-3 with the win.

Milford won the 8th grade contest by a 28-20 final.

Liam Leininger paced Valley with 11 points. Bryce Webster scored six points and Seth Hoffman three.
