French, A obit photoArloeen Edith French, 89 of Winona Lake, Ind., passed away at 5:50 a.m. Sunday, May 25, 2014, at Grace Village Health Care, Winona Lake.

She was a homemaker and the wife of Pastor Ivan H. French, who pastored Pleasant View Bible Church of Warsaw, Ind., from 1975 to 1992.

She received her associate’s degree from Eastern Oregon State University, as well as her Bachelor’s of Theology from Northwest Christian University in Eugene, Ore. She was active in the children’s ministry of her church, a member of the Seminary Wives Fellowship, and the Faculty Women’s Club of Grace College and Seminary in Winona Lake.

Arloeen was born Dec. 18, 1924, in Seattle, Wash., to William E. Krause and Edith Marie (Isbell) Krause Worley. On Sept. 17, 1944, she was married to Pastor Ivan H. French who passed away Dec. 12, 2013.

She is survived by a daughter: LaNita French, Warsaw, Ind.; three sons: John (Christine) French, Winona Lake; David (Lori) French, Manila, Philippines; Douglas French, LaPorte, Ind.; and four grandchildren: Suzanne (Shawn) Osborne, Fort Wayne, Ind.; John David French, Winona Lake; Alexandra French, Manila, Philippines; Tobin French, Manila, Philippines.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a sister: Helen Crossen.

Visitation is to be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 28, Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Rd., Warsaw. Graveside services will be conducted at 9 a.m. Thursday, May 29, at Oakwood Cemetery of Warsaw and officiated by Pastor Mike Hontz. A procession from the funeral home to the cemetery will begin at 8:50 a.m.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 7, at Grace Village Retirement Community, in the Grace Village Chapel, 337 Grace Village Dr., Winona Lake, and officiated by Pastor John French and Chaplain Bryan Benjamin.
