Cletus G.J. ‘Jerry’ Faust, 76, of rural North Manchester, Ind., passed away at 3:50 a.m., Wednesday, May 21, 2014, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.
He was born June 8, 1937, in Milwaukee, Wis., to Ellen (Faust) Keefer. Jerry was a US Army veteran. He married Beverly Clausen in Janesville, Wis., on Dec. 13, 1969.
He worked as a truck driver. He attended Sweetwater Assembly of God, in North Manchester, and was a member of the National Rifle Association, and the Izaak Walton League of Liberty Mills, Ind. He enjoyed the outdoors, shooting, hunting and motorcycles.
He is survived by his wife: Beverly Faust, North Manchester; five children: DawnLinn (Joel) Rudnitski, Milton, Wis.; Candy (Dale) Powell, Irmo, S.C.; Steven (Heather) Faust, Monticello, Ind.; Tina Faust, Janesville; Malinda (Virgil) Flaherty; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; three brothers: Joe Faust, Matthew Keefer and David Keefer; and two sisters: Arline (John) Jorgenson; Kathy (Wayne) Sadorf, Milwaukee.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Visitation will be from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 24, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Bender Chapel, 207 W. Main St., North Manchester. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, May 24, at the funeral home, with Pastor Chad McAtee officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, North Manchester.
