Kaylin Renee Pratt, 18, of South Whitley, Ind., passed away at 4:55 a.m. Thursday, May 22, 2014, at her home, surrounded by her loving and caring family.

She was born on Oct. 13, 1995, in Gary, Ind., she was the daughter of Donald Mark Pratt and Michelle J. (Blewett) Pratt, who survive. 

She has spent most of her life in South Whitley and attended Pierceton Elementary School. Kaylin was a member of Turning Point Church in South Whitley. Even though she was bound to her wheel chair, she loved to travel. With a big smile, she would enjoy looking at all the scenery this world had to offer her. As recent as March, the family all got together and had a family trip to Hilton Head, S.C.

She is survived by her brother: Josiah Daniel (Keah) Pratt, Dickinson, N.D.; sister: Brianna Michelle Pratt, South Whitley; maternal grandparents: James and Janet Lois Blewett, Lewiston, Idaho; and paternal grandparents: Donald C. and Veryla Kay Pratt, South Whitley; uncles and aunts: Paul (Gail) Pratt, Columbia City, Ind.; Andrew Pratt, California; Marie Phipps and Mike (Bridget)  Blewett; and cousins: Amanda Pratt, Amber (David) Southey; Summer (Amanda) Pratt; Caleb, Joshua and Jonah Pratt; Mike, Pat, Arnie, Logan, Bobbie, Josie Alan and Valerie Perkinson; Sheila and Stephanie Frye. 

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, May 24, at Turning Point Church, 127 S. State Street, South Whitley. Her funeral service will start at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 24, at the church. Pastors Don Mark Pratt and Tim McNamee will officiate. Burial will follow at South Whitley Cemetery. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home.
