Keith A. Peterson, 61, of South Whitley, Ind., passed away Friday, May 16, 2014, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne, Ind.

He was born Feb. 26, 1953, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Ernest and Blanche (Mikesell) Peterson. He graduated from East High School, received a band instrument repair degree from VoTech in Red Wing, Minn., and a bachelor degree in music education from Drake University.

With the exception of a short time in Iowa City, Iowa, he lived in Des Moines until 1990 when he moved to South Whitley, Ind., and began working for Fox Products until 2009. He was a member of NAPBIRT.

He is survived by a niece and a nephew: Erin Schiltz, Texas; Jay Ryan Wedman, Thailand;

He was preceded in death by his sister: Jane Wedman.

There will be no visitation or service. Arrangements are entrusted to Smith & Sons Miller Chapel, South Whitley.
