Winter Adult Reading Program

The Milford Public Library annual Adult Reading Club is in full swing! Adults age 18 and older are invited to join the club. This year’s club began on Jan. 2, and continues until March 31.

Enter weekly drawings for fun prizes! This year’s theme is “Literary Elements.”

Enjoy books, movies and other stuff related to science. Beginning next week, a puzzle sheet will be available at the adult circulation desk. Answer all the questions correctly and your name will be entered in to a drawing for a prize. The first puzzle is a Scientist Matching Game. Can you match the scientist with the word that is associated with him or her? Test your brain power!

After School Is Cool

Join Miss Heidi at 3:30 p.m. Jan. 21, to play board games and card games for After-School is Cool. Have some popcorn and tons of fun with your friends. Would you like to learn a new card game?  Now is your chance! Miss Maureen has plans for making a snowman craft on Jan. 28, after school. Have a snowball sundae with your friends and make a snowman from a sock. Bring a new friend to any after school is cool program and receive a free candy bar for you and your friend!

Weather Related Closings

Unfortunately, the library is not immune to having to close when the weather becomes too hazardous to be out in, as was the case on Jan. 6 and 7.  Should you ever be in doubt as to whether the library will be opened on a day when schools and other businesses are closed due to inclement weather, turn to the WNDU, Channel 16 television station or check out the closings list here on StaceyPageOnline.com, where library closings will be announced throughout the day.
