Betty Ann Buchan, 65, of Warsaw, Ind., and formerly of Bourbon, Ind., passed away on Thursday, May 15, 2014, in Parkview Regional Medical Center of Fort Wayne, Ind.

Betty was born the daughter of Carl E. Biggs and Charlotte Alice Kurtz Biggs on Nov. 15, 1948, at Plymouth, Ind. She was a homemaker and was retired from Cardinal Services of Warsaw as a nursing assistant.

Betty graduated in 1967 from Triton High School. She had been a resident of Warsaw for the past 33 years moving from Bourbon. In her spare time she enjoyed being a volunteer for Kosciusko County Special Olympics for over 30 years. She also was a member of the Warsaw American Legion Auxiliary where helped in planning funeral dinners and special event parties.

Betty is survived by her children: JoAnn Buchan, Warsaw; and Ryan Buchan, Valparaiso, Ind.; and three grandchildren: Jaiden Wade, Kaileb Buchan and Zariya Buchan.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

The family is honoring her wishes therefore there will be no visitation. The family has chosen to have a graveside service at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 22, at Parks Cemetery, Bourbon, where she will interned with her parents.
