Esther L. Boyd, 101, North Manchester, IN died at 12:35 a.m. Friday, May 16, 2014 in Peabody Healthcare Center, North Manchester.

She was born April 5, 1913, in Carroll County, to D.C. & Flossie (Brower) Wolf. On Nov. 11, 1938, she married Delmar E. Boyd. He died May 5, 1998.

Esther retired from the former Bendix Abrasives Co., North Manchester. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and crocheting. She and her husband, Delmar, wove and sold handmade rugs for many years.

She was a member of the Old German Baptist Brethren Church, North Manchester.

She is survived by two sons, John (Dixie) Hetzner, Monroe, Wisc. and Paul David (Carol) Boyd, North Manchester; one daughter, Carol Sue Watts, Logansport; one daughter-in-law, Ivanna Epp, Laketon;16 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and several great great grandchildren. Three brothers are deceased.

Family and friends may call from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, at McKee Mortuary, 1401 SR 114 West, North Manchester.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 21, at Old German Baptist Brethren Church, State Road 13 N, North Manchester, IN. Home brethren will officiate.
