AM General purchased Michigan-based The Vehicle Production Group last year. The company owned the MV-1, which is a wheel-chair accessible vehicle assembled by AM General.

Many AM General workers have been on a “production pause” since 2012.

Company spokesman Jeff Adams told The South Bend Tribune that workers would be called back when foreign military orders were approved by the federal government.
