morrisonCarl L. Morrison, 74, of Claypool, Ind., passed away at 5:03 a.m. Sunday, May 11, 2014, in his residence.

On Oct. 1, 1938, he was born in Pierceton, Ind., to Walter and Irene Morrison. He was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County. Carl was united in marriage to Avadean Allen on April 9, 1976, in Clintwood, Va.

He worked for Dalton Foundry as a Core Maker for over 30 years, retiring in 1998. He attended First Baptist Church, Pierceton and was a member of the Dalton Club.

He is survived by his wife; two daughters: Leigh (Chris) Antwright, High Point, N.C.; Robin Garrard, Sidney, Ind.; two sons: Duane (Linda) Morrison, Lakeside, Calif.; Brian (Rita) Boocher, Sidney; two sisters: Wanda (Charles) Thurman, Chattanooga, Tenn.; Connie Kehoe, Warsaw; one brother: Maurice Morrison, Leesburg, Ind.; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Carl was preceded in death by his parents and his brother-in-law: Ed Kehoe.

Visitation hours will be from 4 p.m. 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, in the funeral chapel. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 15, in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Pierceton, Ind., with Pastor Mark Fishburn officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton.
