Betty L. Bussard, 91, of Winona Lake, Ind., passed away at 8:35 p.m. Tuesday, May 6, 2014, in Grace Village, Winona Lake.

She was born Dec. 23, 1920, Wabash, Ind., to Royal L. Lavengood and Enid (Fritchey) Lavengood. She was a 1939 graduate Wabash High School, Wabash, Ind. She married Richard J. Bussard, Nov. 29, 1942, Wabash.

She lived most of her life in Warsaw, Ind., area. She worked in the clerical department at Zimmer for 21 years retiring in 1985 and also worked at Warsaw Community Schools for 10 years in the cafeteria. Member of First Christian Church, Warsaw. She was a past member of Order of the Eastern Star Warsaw Chapter, Warsaw.

She is survived by three sons: Terry (Patricia) Bussard, Warsaw; Donald (Linda) Bussard, Warsaw; Kim (Lani) Bussard, Warsaw; seven grandchildren: Brandon (Wendy) Bussard, Warsaw; Shelly Bussard, Warsaw; Matthew (Kate) Bussard, Bargarsville, Ind.; Allison Bussard, Knoxville, Tenn.; Mesta Baker, Warsaw; Amberlee (Kevin) Haines, Warsaw;
Ryan Bussard, Warsaw; nine great-grandchildren; step-grandson: James Seeley; one step-granddaughter: Veronica Singleton; brother: Ned R. Lavengood, Wilson, N.C.

She was preceded in death by husband: Richard J. Bussard; father: Royal L. Lavengood; and mother: Enid Lavengood.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, May 9, at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw. Funeral arrangements 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 10, at the funeral home. Pastor Gary Boschain, First Christian Church, Warsaw, will officiate. Burial will take place in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
