Samaritan Thrift Shop, 19265 Tarman Rd. in New Paris, will be hosting a New Year celebration Jan. 3-4 during regular store hours. Samaritan Thrift would like to celebrate the new year with its many friends in the community who have been a part of keeping the shop going for another year.

The staff at Samaritan Thrift has been very blessed during 2013 by the community support given to them in the form of donation of goods, finances and volunteer labor. Because of the community support, Samaritan Thrift was again able to host its yearly clothing give-a-way, help the local schools with their Christmas shop program and aid local families in need of household and clothing items.

Samaritan Thrift hopes the community will join in celebrating the new year by stopping by the shop from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 3, and 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 4. They are located at 68458 Main St. in downtown New Paris. In celebration of the new year, Samaritan Thrift will be having special sales throughout the shop.

They will also be serving refreshments both days of the celebration.
