Treva D. Yoder, 80, of Nappanee, Ind., passed away at 10:40 a.m., Monday, May 5, 2014, at IU Health Goshen Hospital, where she had been admitted Sunday.
She was born Jan. 19, 1934, in Nappanee, to Daniel H. and Sue (Schmucker) Nissley. She married Edwin W. Yoder on Feb. 28, 1956, in Nappanee. He preceded her in death.
Mrs. Yoder was a lifetime resident of Nappanee. She was a homemaker and a member of Maple Lawn Amish Mennonite Church.
She is survived by her daughters: Yvonne (Richard) Miller, Elvera (Stanley) Miller both of Goshen, Ind.; Audrey (Garrett) Martin, Etna Green, Ind.; sons: Calvin (Carla) Yoder, Bourbon, Ind.; Nathan (Myrna) Yoder, Nappanee; Jared (Kaylene) Yoder, Marlowe (fiancee, Monica Beiler) Yoder, both of Goshen; 31 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; sisters: Ruby Nissley, La Jara, Colo.; Miriam (Cleo) Orendorf, Nappanee; Sue Ellen Nissley, Nappanee; brothers: Homer (Betty) Nissley, South Bend, Ind.; Vernon Nissley, Donna, Texas; Lloyd (Gladys) Nissley, Silver Lake, Ind.; Ira (Rienhilda) Nissley, Nappanee; Dan (Miriam) Nissley Jr., Lebanon, Penn.; and sister-in-law: Mattie Nissley, Elkhart, Ind.
She was preceded in death by a son: Carmon Yoder; four grandchildren; and a brother: Melvin Nissley.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 8, 2014, at Maple Lawn Amish Mennonite Church, Nappanee. Funeral services will be at the church at 10 a.m., Friday, May 9, 2014. Thomas Mast and Paul Yoder will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.
