dad Krontz2Walter P. Krontz, 63, of Bourbon, Ind., passed away of natural causes on Wednesday, April 30, 2014, in his home.

Walter was born July 17, 1950, the son of Walter and Pauline Krontz, Sr. He has been a resident of Bourbon since 1998.

He had worked at Dexter Axle of Freemont, Ind., as a welder and he was a graduate of Butler High School. Walter was a Veteran of the Vietnam War serving his country in the United States Army from April 20, 1970, to Nov. 19, 1971.

Walter is survived by his daughter: Susie (Andy) Schaetzle, Bourbon, Ind.; and his son: Joseph Krontz, Fort Wayne, Ind.; five grandchildren and several brothers and sisters.

He was preceded in death by his parents and several brothers and sisters.

Visitation is from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, May 5, at Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, 115 S. Main St., Bourbon. A memorial celebration of Walter’s life will follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor Gary Hinkle officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Bourbon, will military grave side services by the Bourbon American Legion, Post 424.
