Susan A. Craig, 65, a resident of Bourbon, Ind., passed away at 7:14 a.m. Wednesday, April 2, 2014, unexpectedly in her home.

Susan was born the daughter of John Benedict and Helen (Yates) Benedict at Rochester, Ind., on March 20, 1949. She was a lifelong resident of the Bourbon area and a graduate of Bourbon High School.

Susan had been a Pharmacy Technician for over 20 years at various pharmacies in the area, a member of Bourbon First United Methodist Church and she was a member of the Bourbon American Legion, Post #424 Auxiliary.

Susan joined in marriage to DeVon on Oct. 23, 1970; he died Oct. 30, 2013.

She is survived by her daughter; Shawn (David) Gargis, Warsaw, Ind.; grandchildren: Brittny and Zac Moriarty; and great-grandchildren: Adalyn, Brogan Gargis and Briley Gargis, all of Warsaw; two brothers: Danny and Carolyn Benedict and Benny Benedict, all of Bourbon, Ind.; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

The family has chosen to have a Celebration of Life from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 3, in Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, 115 S. Main St. Bourbon, Ind.
