Lucille M. Lundgren, 99, formerly of Elkhart, Ind., passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at Miller’s Merry Manor in Wakarusa, Ind., where she had been a resident for the past 4 years.
She was born March 21, 1915, in Bluffton, Ind., to Noah and Estina (Yarger) Frauhiger. She graduated in 1933 from Warsaw High School. Lucille married Gail Clark Lundgren on Oct., 13, 1968, in Elkhart, Ind. He preceded her in death on July 4, 2000.
Lucille enjoyed her home, particularly hosting family parties and dinners. She traveled extensively and shared many area trips with friends. Lucille retired from CTS Corp in 1976 and was a member of the Quarter Century.
She is survived by her daughter: Leann Moyer, Goodyear, Ariz.; a son: Walter (Pat) Hudkins, Cassopolis, Mich.; six grandchildren: James (Debbie) Moyer, Julie Cooper, both of Phoenix, Ariz.; Susan (Sean) Garcia, Deerfield, Ill.; Heidi Jo (Ron) Cripe, Wakarusa, Ind.; Steve (Becky) Hudkins, Elkhart; Laurie (Timmy) Bartley, Pikeville, Ky.; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; two step-children: Dennis (Kathy) Lundgren; Joan; siblings: Ralph (Carol) Frauhiger, Elizabeth Schussele and Marjorie Suter, all of Goshen, Ind.
She was preceded in death by a son: Kenneth; seven brothers and sisters; and a step-son: Larry Lundgren.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, April 25, at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home and from 8:30 a.m. till 9 a.m. Saturday, April 26, at the funeral home. A procession will form at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 26, at the funeral home, and graveside services will take place at Rice Cemetery. Officiating the service will be her grandsons, Ron Cripe and Reverend James Moyer.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Center for Hospice Care.
