Arden E. “Punk” Grow, 66, of Claypool, Ind., passed away at 12:40 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at his home.
He was born Dec. 16, 1947, in Warsaw, Ind., to Elbert and Dorothy (McGinnis) Grow. He was a 1966 graduate of Claypool High School in Claypool.
Arden Grow was inducted to the United States Army on Jan. 9, 1968. SP4 was honorably discharged Dec. 13, 1969. He was married to Laura L. O’Connell on Jan. 1, 2003, in Claypool.
Was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County. He was employed by Spartech Industries for 40 years retiring in 2006 as a lab assistant.
Arden was a member of American Legion Post #49. He loved playing cards, ping pong, pool, shuffle board, gardening and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife: Laura Grow, Claypool; two daughters: Stacy (Joe) Halterman, Rochester, Ind.; and Tracy (Brian) Julian, Claypool; a son: Lamoine (Amber) Grow, Winona Lake, Ind.; two step sons: Michael O’Connell and Ross Patrick, both of Warsaw; four great-grandchildren; five step grandchildren; a brother: Steve Grow, Mentone, Ind.; and two sisters: Brenda (Russell) Brown, Claypool; and Jenny (Mike) Dawson, Atwood, Ind.
He was preceded in death by his father: Eldon Grow; and his mother: Dorothy Grow.
Visitation is from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, April 25, at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw. The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 26, at the funeral home with Pastor Alfredo Lozano. Military honors will be conducted by Warsaw’s American Legion Post #49 and VFW Post #1126. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, at a later date.
