Headshot copyLaura Lee Selke, 52, of South Whitley, Ind., passed away on March 14, 2014, at I.U. Goshen Hospital in Goshen, Ind.

She was born May 14, 1961, in Elkhart, Ind., to Richard L. and Arnelda B. (Miller) Losee.

She was a lifetime resident of Syracuse, Ind., and Whitley County areas. She graduated in 1979 from Columbia City High School and attended College in Milwaukee, Wisc. She formerly worked at Louis Bar & Grill in Syracuse and worked in accounting at various places.

She is survived by two sons: Skyler Miller and Ethan Miller, both of Syracuse; her mother: Arnelda Losee, Syracuse; a brother: Charles Losee, South Bend; and her life companion: Chad Lauer, Syracuse.

She was preceded in death by her father. A brother, Jay Losee, passed away Friday, April 18.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 26, at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse. Memorial services will follow for Laura Selke and her brother, Jay Losee, at 11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home with Pastor Harlan Steffen of the Wawasee Lakeside Chapel officiating. Private burial will take place in the Syracuse Cemetery.
