David Alan Mitting, 38, of North Manchester, Ind.,, passed away at 8:25 a.m., Saturday, April 12, 2014, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Ind.

He was born Sept. 3, 1975, in Wabash, Ind., to William Mitting and Sandra (Sands) Mitting. David was a 1994 graduate of Southwood High School and he received his Associates Degree from Indiana State University. He married Aysema Demir in January 2013.

He worked at Hi-Grade Egg Producers in North Manchester. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and motorcycles.

He is survived by his wife; his father; his mother; daughter: Shelby (Mason) Meyer, LaFontaine, Ind.; grandson: Phoenix Meyer, LaFontaine, Ind.; brother: Doug (Gina) Koch, Warrensburg, Mo.; and several aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his brother: Jeff Koch.

Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 17, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Ave., Wabash. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Servia, at a later date.
