Janet Fisher, 67, North Manchester, Ind., passed away at 9:45 a.m. Friday, April 11, 2014, in Peabody Retirement Community, North Manchester.
She was born Sept. 1, 1946, in Liberty Mills, Ind., to Jim and Leota (Shepherd) Howard. She was employed at General Tire for several years and then at United Technologies, Andrews, Ind. Janet was a member of Victory Rock, Pierceton, Ind., and she enjoyed listening to music sang by her family gospel group, “The Shepherd Sisters”.
She is survived by one son: Terry A. (Kathleen) Fisher, Van Buren, Ind.; two daughters: Dawn M. (Anthony) Nero, Warsaw, Ind.; Lori A. (Robert) Pratt, Denver, Ind.; two brothers: Dallas (Carol) Howard, Liberty Mills, Ind.; and Dale (Gloria Sue) Howard, Jacksonville, Fla.; four sisters: Carolyn (Ron) Isbell, North Manchester; Shirley (Sam) Simcoe, North Manchester; Goldie (Larry) Lewallen, South Whitley, Ind.; Savannah Ryan, Warsaw; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 15, at McKee Mortuary, 1401 SR 114 W., North Manchester. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 16, at McKee Mortuary, 1401 SR 114 W., North Manchester. Pastor Charles Trout will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Servia, Ind.
