Rebecca Sue “Becky” Yeater, 37, of Elkhart, Ind., passed away Tuesday, April 8, at Good Shepherd Hospice House in Auburndale, Fla.

Becky was born Jan. 12, 1977, in Sturgis, Mich., to Larry and Sherry (Hoover) Davis. On Dec. 27, 2010, in Elkhart, she married Larry L. Yeater, the son of Pat and the late John Yeater who were past residents of Milford, Ind. and Nappanee, Ind.

Becky graduated from Sturgis High School in 1995 where she was a member of the Sturgis High School Marching Band and golf team. She attended Faith United Methodist Church and enjoyed riding motorcycles, bowling and golfing. She was active in the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.

Becky is survived by her husband: Larry; her mother; two sisters: Cindy (Steve) DeBord and Jennifer (Rob) Hayes, both of Lake Alfred, Fla; a brother: Mike (Julianne) Davis, Queen Creek, Ariz.; stepchildren: Allison, Ross and Andrea Yeater; seven nieces and nephews and three great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father: Larry Davis; an aunt: Kim Davis Gushwa; an uncle: Bruce Davis; and a cousin: Angie Davis.

Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, April 11, at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, Elkhart. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 12, at Faith United Methodist Church, CRs 17 and 18, Goshen, Ind., where friends may visit one hour prior. Rev. John Hogsett will officiate.
