Harold E. Reed, 97, North Manchester, Ind., died at 2:24 a.m. Sunday, April 6, 2014, in Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne, Ind.

He was born May 15, 1916, in Wabash County, Ind., to John C. and Elizabeth D. (Floor) Reed. On April 3, 1937, he married Vera Lucille (Overholser). She preceded him in death.

Harold retired in 1985 from the North Manchester Foundry. He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene, North Manchester, and enjoyed gardening.

He is survived by one son: Richard Eugene (Sheila) Reed, North Manchester; three daughters: Patricia (David) Brace, North Manchester; Sherry (Robert) Curtis, Greencastle, Ind.; Cindy (Steven) Royer, Fort Wayne, Ind.; one brother: Glen Reed, Wabash, Ind.; two sisters: Rose Campbell, Wabash; Carol (John) Fike, Fort Pierce, Fla.; 15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one grandchild; four brothers; and two sisters.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, at McKee Mortuary, 1401 SR 114 W., North Manchester. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 10, at the funeral home. Pastor J.P. Freeman will officiate. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester.
