Margaret “Maggie” Eileen Farra, 83, of Winona Lake, Ind., passed away at 8:09 a.m. Friday, April 4, 2014, at Mason Health & Rehab of Warsaw, Ind.
She was a resident of Kosciusko County, Ind., for the past 9 years where she had been attending Warsaw Community Church. Margaret had worked in the Columbus Kroger Bakery in Columbus, Ohio, retiring in 1992 after 20 years of service. She was a huge Ohio State Buckeyes fan, loved to work on puzzles, and she especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
She was born June 10, 1930, in Franklin County, Ohio, to Charles Marcus Price and Alice Hannah (Pester) Price. On July 3, 1953 she was married for 50 years to Carl Duaine Farra, who passed away March 27, 2004.
She is survived by a son: John (Sharon) Farra, Columbus, Ohio; four daughters: Deborah (Gary) Rhodeback, Columbus, Ohio; Cheryl (Edd) Habegger, Winona Lake; Sharon (Joel) Bishop, Columbus, Ohio; and Cindy Padgett, Williamsburg, Ohio; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandsons.
She was preceded in death by parents, three brothers and one sister.
Visitation is from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, at Schoedinger Hilltop Chapel, Columbus, Ohio. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 10, at Schoedinger Funeral and Cremation Service, at the Schoedinger Hilltop Chapel, 3030 W. Broad Street, Columbus, and officiated by Edd Habegger. Burial will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery, Columbus.
