Donald F. Mozdren, 81, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 1:35 p.m. Monday, March 31, 2014, in Grace Village Healthcare Center, Winona Lake, Ind.
On Feb. 21, 1933, he was born in Chicago, Ill., to Frank and Frances (Rezpa) Mozdren. He was united in marriage to Sara J. Maryanski on May 9, 1959, in Chicago, who survives. He moved to Warsaw from Bolingbrook, Ill., in 1992.
Donald worked in freight company operations for Transcon Freight, retiring in January of 1988. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict from 1953 to 1955.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Warsaw. He was a Gold Circle Member of the VFW and was also a member of the American Legion Post #702, Indianapolis.
He is survived by his wife: Sara J. Mozdren, Warsaw; four daughters: Deborah Stubbs, Whitestown, Ind.; Denise (Joe) Reifsteck, Allen, Texas; Darlene Burkel, Warsaw; Leona (Robert) Harris, Warsaw; and five grandchildren: Jordan, Brandon and Lucas Reifsteck, all of Allen, Texas; and Vicki and Ryan Harris, Warsaw.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, April 4, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral chapel, Warsaw. A Christian Burial Service will follow at 1 p.m. Friday with Father Phil DeVolder officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
