Ethel Mae Anglin, 90, of Bradenton, Fla., and formerly of Nappanee, Ind., passed away at 9:10 pm, Friday, March 28, 2014, at her residence.
She was born Aug. 16, 1923, in Colby, Kan., to George W. and Mary (Robinett) Gould. On Sept. 12, 1945, she married Olen Anglin in Nappanee. He preceded in death March 10, 2009 .
Mrs. Anglin was a 1941 graduate of Nappanee High School. She then attended University of Indianapolis for two years and received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Finley, Ohio.
She was a lifetime area resident until moving to Florida in 2007. She had taught week day religion education for 14 years at Nappanee Elementary School. For 9 years she was a Fuller Brush salesperson. Ethel Mae was a member of Nappanee Missionary Church and a former member of Mt. Tabor Church of God.
She is survived by a son: Lanny (Kathy) Anglin, Columbus, Ohio; a daughter: Judy (Robert) Douglas, Sarasota, Fla.; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two brothers: Paul (Judy) Gould, Granger, Ind.; and Glen Gould, Clinton Township, Mich.
She was preceded in death by brothers: Everett, Joseph and Robert “Bob” Gould.
Visitation is from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 2, at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee, and from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Thursday, April 3, at Nappanee Missionary Church Chapel. The funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday at the church. Burial will be in Stony Point Cemetery.
