Dr. Daniel J. Cummiskey, 52, passed away Friday, March 21, 2014, at his home in Fort Wayne.

Daniel was born in Ann Arbor, Mich., and was an orthopedic surgeon with Parkview Physicians Group for four years.

Daniel served in the US Army and was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity; the Fort Wayne Track Club, and the Starbucks Coffee Club with all of his friends.

Surviving are his wife Charity Leist Cummiskey of Fort Wayne; father Patrick James Cummiskey of Savannah, GA; one son Brian Cummiskey of West Lafayette; two daughters Carrie and Catherine Cummiskey of Fort Wayne; one step-son Spencer Hummer of Fort Wayne; and two brothers Keith Cummiskey of Dallas, TX, and Kevin (Cindi) Cummiskey of San Mateo, CA.

Daniel was preceded in death by mother Jean Carol Cummiskey, and step-son Zackery Hummer.

Calling will be from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, March 28,and one hour prior to funeral services at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 29, at D.O. McComb and Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road, Fort Wayne,
