NW Legion Announces Veterans Day Events
The final word is in from the Herbert Kuhn Post 253 of the American Legion in North Webster on its activities to celebrate Veterans Day. It is located at 756 S. SR 13.
Sunday
From 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., Nov. 10, the public of all ages is invited to a fundraising breakfast buffet. The Post will celebrate the United States Marine Corps 238th birthday and all veterans and families are invited to attend. The birthday cake will be cut at 1 p.m. with the oldest Marine in attendance getting the first piece. Musical entertainment will follow performed by Short Term Memory, a local classic, rock band.
Monday
Services will be held by the Legion members at the following cemeteries and times:
Oswego – 8:30 a.m.
Oak Grove – 9 a.m.
Salem – 9:30 a.m.
Mock – 10 a.m.
Post 253 – 10:30 a.m.
North Webster – 11 a.m.
Services will be followed by a ham and bean lunch at the Post.
