HeadshotConnie S. ‘Sue’ Simison, 61, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 3:10 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013, at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne, Ind.

She was born Dec. 13, 1951, in Warsaw to William L. “Bill” and Priscilla F. “Faye” (Pearson) Gross.

She was a lifetime Leesburg, Ind., / Warsaw area resident, attended Wawasee High School and graduated in 1970. On June 20, 1970, in Warsaw, she married Tim Allan Simison who preceded her on Sept. 3, 2012.

She was co-owner and operator of Simison Trucking Co. in Warsaw since 1993 and formerly was a group leader at Heaters Engineering in North Webster for 15 years.

Connie is survived by two sons: Jack Simison and Noah (Crystal) Simison, both of Warsaw; three grandsons: Dylan, Ash and Mason Simison; a sister: Cindy Humes, Leesburg; and a brother: Gary Gross, Warsaw.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 11, at Owen Family Funeral Home, SR 13 and CR 500 North, North Webster. A funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor David Smitley of the North Webster United Methodist Church officiating. Private burial will take place at the Oswego Cemetery.

Memorial bequests may be given to Animal Welfare League, PO Box 1906, Warsaw, IN 46581, or American Cancer Society, 601 W. Edison Rd., Mishawaka, IN 46545. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
