OI480534343_HashemiMaryobitphotoMary Elizabeth Hashemi, 83, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 10:45 p.m. Saturday, March 1, 2014, in her residence.

She was a homemaker and a resident of Kosciusko County, Ind., for the past 55 years, where she was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Warsaw.

She was born June 10, 1930, in Bellevue, Ky., to Tobias Blenke and Elizabeth (Emark) Blenke. On Jan. 22, 1954, in Cincinnati, Ohio, she was married to Hossein Hashemi, who preceded her in death on Jan. 28, 2007.

She is survived by two daughters: Sussan Larty, Warsaw; Mimi Monroe,Milwaukee, Wisconsin; two grandchildren: Andrew Larty, Indianapolis, Ind.; Sarah Larty, Warsaw; one brother: Albert Blenke, Tennessee); and two sisters: Dr. Anne Blenke, Florida; and Helen Brunstrom, Florida.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, March 7, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 125 N. Harrison St., Warsaw, and celebrated by Father Phil DeVolder.
A private graveside service will be held Friday, March 7 at Oakwood Cemetery.
