Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department
Officers of the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department recently investigated the following accidents:
Wednesday, Nov. 6, 7:51 a.m. South SR 25, Warsaw. Driver: Sandra Howard, 52, East 400 North, Rochester. Howard was eastbound on SR 25 when she struck a deer. Damages: up to $1,000
Tuesday, Nov. 5, 6:19 p.m. South 600 West, Akron. Drivers: Katie Bowser, 20, South SR 14. Bowser was northbound on CR 600 west just south of CR 1000 South when she went off the road way and struck into Janet E. Jackson’s The Paper box. Damages: under $750
Tuesday, Nov. 5, 5:26 p.m. North 300 East and EMS D23 Lane, Milford. Drivers: Alaina Krauter, 27, Heather Court, Warsaw; Christy Scott, East Dove Lane, Milford. Krauter was southbound on CR 300 East when she rear-ended Scott who was stopped waiting to turn. Scott reported pain in her neck and three juvenile females in Scott’s vehicle reported some pain from their seatbelts but all refused an ambulance. Damages: up to $25,000
Tuesday, Nov. 5, 12:24 p.m. Sunset Drive and Anchorage Road, Warsaw. Driver: Camera Hyde, 24, S. Graceland Ave., Claypool. Hyde was traveling north on Sunset when she attempted to turn right at the Anchorage Road intersection and struck a utility pole. Damages: up to $2,500
Tuesday, Nov. 5, 12:14 p.m. West 600 North and North SR 15, Leesburg. Drivers: Randall H. Dahms, 37, Deer Trail, Warsaw; Gary Powers, 60, EMS B48 Lane, Warsaw. Dahms was westbound on CR 600 North approaching a stop sign when his foot slipped off the brake peddle causing him to fun into the rear of Powers’s vehicle. Damages: up to $1,000
Warsaw Police Department
Officers of the Warsaw Police Department recently investigated the following accidents:
Tuesday, Nov. 5, 4:12 p.m. East Center and North Harrison streets, Warsaw. Drivers: Carolyn McCord, 27, Wooster Road, Winona Lake; Jeannie Sanburn, 39, West Center Street, Warsaw; Brigette Young, 44, South 350 East, Warsaw. McCord was traveling northbound on Harrison street when she stated the light turned yellow. She proceeded through the intersection and was struck in the passenger side by Sanburn’s vehicle which was westbound on East Center Street. McCord’s vehicle flipped onto its side where it came to a stop after making contact with Young’s southbound vehicle. According to Chris Torpy, a witness at the scene, the light was red when McCord preceded through the intersection. McCord and a child in her car both complained of pain and the two plus three other children were transported to Parview in Whitley County for medical clearance. Both Sanburn and Young were transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital on complaints of pain. Damages: up to $50,000
