Officers of the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department recently investigated the following accidents:

Sunday, Nov. 3, 10:53 p.m. SR 13 near Vawter Park Drive, Syracuse. Driver: Kenneth J. Graff, 18, 925 East, North Webster. Driver struck a deer. Damages: up to $5,000

Sunday, Nov. 3, 4:40 p.m. 400 East near SR 14, Silver Lake. Driver: Kandace I. Terry, 20, Harris Street, Bourbon. Terry’s vehicle veered off the roadway and sideswiped a utility pole. Damages: up to $5,000

Saturday, Nov. 2, 5:29 p.m. Turkey Creek Road near 1000 North, Syracuse. Drivers: Russel L. Runyon, 40, Esterbrook Drive, North Webster; and Angeline A. Keene, 28, Wawasee Lane, Syracuse. Runyon was attempting to text while driving, veered into the oncoming lane, and collided with Keene’s vehicle. Keene believed Runyon had been drinking. Blood and urine tests were ordered; results still pending. Damages: up to $25,000

Saturday, Nov 2, 8:50 a.m. 250 South near SR 25, Warsaw. Drivers: Jose R. Chavarria, 39, Holloway Drive, Plymouth; and Todd S. Back, 41, 350 North, Warsaw. Chavarria backed into Back. Damages: up to $5,000

Saturday, Nov. 2, 5:59 a.m. 75 North near 175 East, Warsaw. Driver: Ronald E. Bellman. Bellman veered off the road while avoiding a collision with a parked vehicle in the roadway. Bellman struck a mailbox and scraped a utility pole. Damages: up to $2,500

Saturday, Nov. 2, 1:49 a.m. 450 North near 375 East, Leesburg. Driver: Mary R. Bonheimer, 19, 650 North, Etna Green. Bonheimer’s vehicle left the roadway and collided with an REMC utility pole. Bonheimer was transported to KCH for injuries. Damages: up to $10,000

Saturday, Nov. 2, 12:02 a.m. SR 15 near 300 South, Warsaw. Driver: Michael S. Dove, 31, Don Way, Claypool. Dove’s vehicle left the roadway and collided with a tree. Driver was given a breathalizer test and blew a 0.24. Dove was cited with OWI, but case is still under investigation. Damages: up to $25,000

Friday, Nov. 1, 7:19 p.m. 400 West near 200 South, Warsaw. Driver: Alissa L. Trippiedi, 41, 400 West, Warsaw. Driver struck a deer. Damages: up to $2,500

Friday, Nov. 1, 7:47 a.m. SR 13 near 650 East, Syracuse. Driver: James H. Schmidt, 45, Kettlersville Road, Ohio. Driver struck a deer. Damages: up to $5,000

Saturday, Nov. 2, 11:59 p.m. Harrison Street near Sally Street, Warsaw. Driver: Joseph A. Southworth, 17, Robb Road, Warsaw. Southworth struck the open door of a parked car with his vehicle’s mirrorDriver struck deer. Damages: up to $1,000

Saturday, Nov. 2, 9:47 a.m. 2501 Walton Blvd, Warsaw. Driver: Ashley M. Tharp, 24, Cox Farm Road, Warsaw. While attempting to back out of a parking space, Tharp hit a sign. Damages: up to $2,500

Friday, Nov. 1, 6:59 p.m. Detroit Street near Fort Wayne Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Diane C. Workman, 49, Tippecanoe Drive, Goshen; and Latosha L. Douglas, 38, Levi Lee Road, Warsaw. Workman sideswiped Doulgas’ vehicle while attempting a lane change. Damages: up to $5,000
