Nancy J. Brock, 62, resident of Bourbon, Ind., passed away on Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014, at 7:05 p.m. in her home.

Nancy was born June 6, 1951, to Donn and Mary (Angle) Kesler at South Bend, Ind. She married Rex Brock on April 28, 1973. Nancy was a graduate of Wawasee High School class of 1969.

Nancy was a very devoted person when it came to volunteering. She volunteered at Triton High School and she was an Earth Team volunteer for Marshall County Soil & Water Conservation.

Nancy loved to be helpful by cooking meals for those less fortunate and for shut ins. She was known for her wonderful cinnamon rolls, which she baked for many people. She loved to crochet and make things for family and friends.

Nancy had a large supply of yarn which she used to create many projects. After her automobile accident that left her paralyzed she was no longer able to use her supplies so they were donated to others to use to continue her mission of helping the less fortunate. Her memory can live on through that work.

Nancy was a member of the Bremen Church of the Brethren where she had served as a Deacon and she was a member of Kosciusko County Homemakers Club.

Her family and especially her husband, Rex, cared for her daily needs without question. His devotion was without question, an indication of his love for Nancy. He spent every moment at her side making sure she was not being neglected in any way.

Nancy is survived by three children, her daughters: Monica Brock, Indianapolis, Ind.; Rachel (John) Dankanich, Huntsville, Ala.; and a son: Wayne and (Michele) Brock, South San Francisco, Calif.; her father: Donn Kesler, North Manchester, Ind.; three grandchildren: Sullivan and Sadie Brock and Jonah Dankanich; two sisters: Linda Kesler (Annie Larson), San Francisco, Calif.; and Diane (Rick) Collins, Danville, Calif.

She was proceeded in death by her mother.

There will be no services or visitation at this time in honoring her wishes. The family will have a Celebration of Life at Bremen Church of the Brethren on March 22, (time yet to be determined).
