1250245_profile_picRuby Mast, 94, of Nappanee, Ind., died at 7:23 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2014, at Miller’s Merry Manor, Wakarusa, Ind.

She was born Dec. 19, 1919, in Newton County, Ind., to Roman and Mattie (Yoder) Miller.  On Feb. 21, 1940, she married Abe L. Mast. He preceded in death on Oct. 23, 1996.

Mrs. Mast was a member of the Fairview A.M. Church. She was a seamstress and had been a custom tailor for 30 years. After retiring from custom tailoring, she pieced quilts for Quilt Designs in Goshen. She also pieced many quilts for her church.  he loved singing and playing the guitar.

She is survived by two sons: Levi A. (Ann) Mast, Montezuma, Ga.; and Edwin A. (Mary) Mast, Goshen, Ind.; four daughters: Rachel (Ben) Graber, Sarasota, Fla.; Irene Yoder, Wakarusa; Anna Lou (Levi) Helmuth and Marie (Leon) Wengerd, both of Nappanee; 19 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren; three brothers: Edward R. (Velma) Miller, Goshen; Marvin D. Miller, Middlebury, Ind.; and Roman (Barbara) Miller Jr., Nappanee; three sisters: Katie Mullet, Etna Green, Ind.; Elnora (Owen M.) Yoder, Nappanee; and Lydia Mae (Kenneth) Yoder, Sarasota, Fla.

She was preceded in death by a son: Roman A. Mast; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one great-great-grandchild; and two brothers: Tobias R. and Alvin R. Miller.

Family and Friends may call from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, at United Christian School in Nappanee. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday Sunday, Feb. 23, at Fairview A. M. Church. Pastor Randy Miller and the Fairview Ministry will officiate. Burial will be in the Fairview A. M. Church Cemetery.

Memorial Contributions may be given to the Wilderness Boys Camp in Fair Play, South Carolina.
